About Our Coaches

Coach Spruill was the original Soccer Coach at Lamar in 1975, before it was classified as a UIL sport. He coached two years before leaving the soccer program to be the Athletic Coordinator at Shackelford Junior High for the next several years. During that time he married Donna, his wife of 29 years, a kindergarten teacher in AISD. His daughter, Kristen is currently attending TCC in Arlington. He re-joined the Lamar staff in 1994 as the Head Soccer Coach and as a Varsity Football assistant. He is now coaching with the Freshmen Football staff. Coach has lived in Arlington all his life and graduated from Arlington High School and UT-Arlington.

Coach Moore graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 1991 and continued on to receive a Masters degree in Education in 1993. Coach Moore began his coaching career at Haltom High School from 1993 to 1996. He came to Lamar High School in the fall of 1996 as the Head baseball coach. During his time at Lamar, he also coached the varsity defensive ends in football. He left Lamar in 2001 to pursue personal business opportunities. During his time away from Lamar, Coach Moore and his wife opened up A & T Moore Health Care Corporation. The company is still going and is entering its 11th year of business. In 2005, he returned to Lamar High School to continue his coaching career. He has coached varsity football, freshman basketball, track, and soccer. Coach Moore is entering his 3rd year with the Viking’s soccer program. Coach Moore and his wife, Audra, will celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary this March. They are both proud parents of very active and talented ten year old daughters, Mallory and Madison.



Coach T.J. Dibble graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 2000. He was captain of the Blue Raiders football team, a second team all-district selection in soccer and a state qualifier in the discus. He received a football scholarship to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX, where he played linebacker and was a team captain. He was also a first team all-conference selection. In addition, Dibble coached the linebackers as a graduate assistant for two years at SHSU. He then took a job at Sam Houston High School in Arlington to coach Football and Soccer. He stayed with the Texans for two years before making the move to Lamar. Coach Dibble is married to Sarah Dibble, who is also a teacher and a coach. He is excited to be a part of the success and tradition here.
